Simon was asked to grow up quickly as a rookie and responded with 76 tackles and nine starts. He is not finished product, but that is a serious first-year foundation for an inside linebacker. The next step is improving coverage detail and turning strong tackle volume into more impact plays.
Strengths: Instinctive tackling, strong rookie availability, special-teams value and demonstrated ability to handle a starter's workload. He made the most of a difficult midseason promotion.
Weaknesses: He is still learning pro coverage spacing and had only a half-sack with two pass breakups. A deeper room means he must keep developing rather than assuming the 2025 role is guaranteed.
