Woodson has moved into an important role next to Byard, where dependable communication is as valuable as range. The defense needs the pair to keep the young reserves from being exposed by formation and motion stress.

Strengths: Frontline role, safety pairing stability and opportunity to grow in a talented secondary.

Weaknesses: A thin defensive bench could put more responsibility on the starting safety duo.
