8 tackles and no sacks, 4 last week. nothing special on a 1-3 team
4 tackles in 3 games, he's been quiet. washington needs more.
Payne remains the interior player offenses must plan for. He can win with first-step quickness or raw strength, and a more flexible alignment should create better matchups. A return toward his 2022 finishing numbers would change this defense's entire ceiling.
Strengths: Interior disruption, power, quickness, positional versatility, and proven high-end sack production.
Weaknesses: His 2025 box score was merely average, and he must convert more pressures into finishes as he approaches 30.
