a pick and a pass breakup last week, 2 forced fumbles on the year. 3-1 team and he's playing great
Ward still has a case to be mentioned among the NFL’s elite shutdown corners.
13 tackles and 2 forced fumbles, pretty surprising from a cover corner. no pds tho. browns are 2-1.
Ward is still Cleveland’s premium matchup corner: fast, reactive and willing to attack the ball. He gives the defense permission to be aggressive elsewhere, and the extension reflects the club’s belief in his continued top-end value.
Strengths: Five Pro Bowls, elite pass-breakup production, top-corner coverage ability, and long-term leadership.
Weaknesses: High-volume matchup assignments leave little margin for injury or small technique slips against elite receivers.
