Rucci's signing wasn't a luxury move; the Chargers lost both Charlie Kolar and David Njoku to injured reserve in the same stretch, leaving Oronde Gadsden as the only healthy tight end before Rucci arrived. He has real NFL special-teams snaps from his time in Miami and gets an immediate shot at meaningful reps in Los Angeles out of pure necessity.
Strengths: Already has NFL special-teams experience from his rookie season and a familiarity with the Chargers' offensive coordinator from Miami.
Weaknesses: Has thrown-together chemistry with this offense given he just arrived, and his receiving production so far is minimal.
