Hodgins belongs in the required database set, but the current official transaction record says the Giants released him before the initial 53. That leaves no basis to portray him as a 2026 active rotation piece. The player-specific story at this point is a veteran receiver needing the next opportunity.
Strengths: Receiver experience and a profile that can offer size and dependable possession value in the right landing spot.
Weaknesses: He was released in the final cutdown and has no current active Giants role in the official material. Opportunity and roster certainty come before any on-field projection.
