Tolbert is the veteran bet in a room that otherwise needs young players to arrive fast. His 2024 production showed he can finish opportunities when an offense trusts him. Miami needs that version: dependable intermediate work, enough size outside and a calm example for the rookies.
Strengths: Prior NFL production, size and experience finding space in the intermediate game. He can provide a steadier route-running option while the younger players develop.
Weaknesses: His best season is still something to recapture, not a guaranteed baseline. He has to consistently separate and make the routine target count in a room built to audition several different styles.
