Blount's value is not about gaudy defensive snaps. He is one of those coverage-unit players who can flip a game with a forced fumble or make the reliable play that keeps a return from getting started. The 2025 injury interruption matters, but a healthy Blount gives Arizona leadership and real four-phase utility.
Strengths: Special-teams instincts, tackling urgency, leadership and a demonstrated knack for creating sudden-change plays. He has enough safety experience to provide emergency depth behind his coverage-unit work.
Weaknesses: His defensive résumé is limited and a 2025 injury sharply reduced his availability. He needs to re-establish his health and show he can contribute beyond special teams if injuries force him onto defense.
