Howden is exactly the kind of reserve safety teams need: experienced, active on special teams and able to start without panic. He is a complementary defender, but a useful one.
Strengths: Special-teams value, safety versatility, tackling and game experience.
Weaknesses: Limited top-end coverage range and modest ball-production ceiling.
