Kennard has the résumé to be more than a depth name, but his rookie season barely gave him room to show it. The good news is that he is learning in a loaded edge room. His challenge is simple: turn the college pass-rush pedigree into cleaner NFL snaps and make the fourth-rusher decision difficult for coaches.
Strengths: Decorated college pass-rush background, young legs and exposure to a strong veteran edge group. He has a clear technical model to study around him.
Weaknesses: Only 80 defensive snaps as a rookie means his NFL game remains largely unproven. He must improve consistency, run defense and special-teams value to climb a crowded rotation.
