Niese is a quiet depth piece, but those players matter over a long season. He knows the room, has dressed often enough to be trustworthy when the line gets thin, and brings the unglamorous versatility coaches want on the back end of a roster. The ceiling is modest; the floor is useful insurance.
Strengths: Program familiarity, interior-line depth, game-day experience and special-teams utility.
Weaknesses: Very limited offensive workload, no established starting résumé and little margin for a bigger role.
