Beckham's return is not nostalgia-only; the staff says he earned the roster spot. He can still separate, has reliable hands and brings a veteran voice for Dart. The smart expectation is a role built on timely routes and red-zone feel, not pretending the calendar does not exist.
Strengths: Experienced route craft, hands and big-moment instincts. He understands how to get open and can offer a young offense a calm, polished target in important situations.
Weaknesses: Age, time away and workload management limit the need to overpromise a featured role. He must prove that camp form holds up through a full NFL season.
