Barnes is a depth linebacker in a unit with serious competition. His value is becoming a no-drama special-teams and defensive option who lets the Giants preserve their athletic flexibility when rotations change.
Strengths: Active roster depth and developmental role in an athletic front.
Weaknesses: Limited path to featured snaps amid deeper, more prominent linebackers.
