22 tackles, 3 tfl and an int, 10 vs sf. cardinals need him.
Wingard is the kind of no-nonsense depth signing that can become more than depth. He has started enough games to organize traffic, tackles with purpose and brings the special-teams credibility coaches trust. Arizona should not ask him to be a high-volume center fielder, but he is a useful, battle-tested piece in a young safety room.
Strengths: Proven durability, strong tackling output, veteran communication and special-teams value. His 2025 Jacksonville season showed he can still handle a regular starting workload when needed.
Weaknesses: His best work is closer to the action, and pure deep-range matchups are not his ideal assignment. At 29, he is a short-term stabilizer rather than a developmental long-range answer.
