Montgomery is a depth receiver still fighting for his place. His 2023 Colts sample showed he can make a play when given a target, but he has spent much of his career navigating the margins of an NFL roster. The immediate focus is recovering from injured reserve and earning opportunities again.
Strengths: Persistence, familiarity with the Colts environment, some NFL game experience and enough size to work as outside depth. He has continued to compete despite a non-linear career path.
Weaknesses: His NFL receiving sample is very small, and the current injured-reserve status delays his chance to prove more. He must show reliable separation and special-teams value in a crowded room.
