vet who caught 2 for 20 vs the titans. giants offense is struggling. a decent deep guy but not a primary target.
Mooney has a real chance to be the clean secondary option a young quarterback needs. He made the most of extra spring visibility and showed early timing with Dart on a deep out. His speed and route craft can create the easier throws that keep drives from becoming all Nabers, all the time.
Strengths: Quickness, route separation and veteran adaptability. He can play off a No. 1 receiver, threaten defenses vertically and give the quarterback a more forgiving intermediate target.
Weaknesses: He needs to turn camp opportunity into a stable target share in a crowded group. His frame can be challenged by physical coverage, so releases and timing have to stay sharp.
