Forrest has more real defensive experience than the typical back-end safety. Seventeen starts, four interceptions and 126 tackles show he can function when pressed into the lineup, and he brings enough range to help in split-safety looks. The problem is that he bounced among several clubs without playing last season and then landed on injured reserve in May. He is useful veteran insurance if he gets healthy, but not someone to count on right now.
Strengths: He has legitimate deep-field range, tracks the ball well enough to have four career interceptions and is willing to close downhill as a tackler. Starting experience also gives him value in a secondary meeting room and on special teams.
Weaknesses: Forrest has not played a regular-season snap since 2024 and has struggled to hold a stable roster role. Angles can get loose when he attacks aggressively, and the current injured-reserve stint creates another availability concern.
