Sanders still has traits that are easy to like: long frame, athletic range and a college résumé full of splash plays. The issue is not potential; it is finding the most consistent NFL role for it. A four is a measured grade for a player still developing. He needs a settled assignment and sharper instincts so the athletic gifts can show up every week.
Strengths: He offers size, athletic upside and a collegiate history of sacks, coverage plays and takeaways. Sanders can be a versatile linebacker if his role lets him use that movement ability rather than only take on blocks.
Weaknesses: His NFL role has not stabilized, and he has not yet converted college production into regular pro impact. Processing, block deconstruction and assignment consistency are key areas before he can be trusted with a larger workload.
