Mascarenas-Arnold is a young depth defender with a chance to matter in packages and on special teams. The team explicitly sees a key role; now he needs to turn improved physical readiness into dependable reads and finishes.
Strengths: Second-year development, stated key role, improved offseason physical preparation, and roster security.
Weaknesses: He remains behind the established linebacker leaders and must show consistent coverage and run-fit detail to grow his workload.
