Hicks is close to the kind of role expansion that turns a useful young safety into a weekly defender. He has already handled special teams and box work; a strong season comes from showing the same steadiness in coverage.

Strengths: 445 defensive snaps, special-teams workload, box-safety experience, youth, and rotation opportunity.

Weaknesses: Still must prove he can win a larger role over veteran competition and cover more space consistently.
