The Panthers had trouble defending Detroit's layered concepts — underneath routes forcing linebackers to expand, followed by throws behind them. Goff doesn't need to be a quarterback who creates outside structure; Detroit's route combinations can create the structure for him.

If the Lions can stabilize their offensive line, this passing offense looks capable of winning shootouts against anybody.
Goff is at his best when Detroit lets him operate in rhythm: identify leverage, get the ball out accurately and let the playmakers run. His 2025 efficiency was elite. The standard now is keeping that aggression without letting pressure force rushed mistakes.
