Jarrett Stidham

Stidham is the familiar, prepared backup every contender wants in the building. He has absorbed a lot of meaningful practice work and gives Denver a calm option if the starter ever misses snaps.

Strengths: System familiarity, experience, preparation, composure and camp reliability.

Weaknesses: Limited recent starting opportunities and lacks Nix's dynamic off-script rushing element.

Stidham is exactly the kind of backup a contender wants: prepared, unflappable and familiar with the day-to-day of an NFL offense. He has shown that he can function when called upon, including a solid first Denver stretch in 2023. A four fits. He is dependable insurance rather than a player you want carrying the whole offense for months, but that is still a valuable job.

Strengths: He offers veteran preparation, experience in several NFL systems and a credible small sample of competent starting work. Stidham can keep the offense organized and avoid panicking when asked to enter a game.

Weaknesses: His career production is limited, with only four starts and an even touchdown-to-interception total. He has not demonstrated the high-end creation or sustained efficiency needed to be viewed as a long-term starter.
