Jonathan Taylor Scouting Report (3)
gets the volume, 66 carries and 4 tds, but 3.9 a carry isn't great. 68 yds on 23 carries vs houston. still a tough runner who wears teams down late but he doesn't look as explosive as before.
Taylor is the heartbeat of this offense. He combines home-run acceleration with the patience to let blocks develop, then punishes defenses that let him reach the second level. A league-leading 20 touchdowns in 2025 was not a fluke of volume; it was the product of a back who can win in every game script.
Strengths: Explosive vision, breakaway speed, durable high-volume production and real receiving value. He is lethal when the game reaches the fourth quarter and has the balance to finish runs through contact.
Weaknesses: The massive workload makes health and late-season freshness worth monitoring, and he has had fumble stretches in prior years. Defenses will keep loading the box until Indianapolis consistently punishes them through the air.
