Newton's second season went backward. He dropped from six rookie starts and seven breakups to two starts and three breakups, then was inactive late. I have him at a five because the rookie tape still proves he can survive outside. He has to win those snaps back in a deeper room.
Strengths: Newton is competitive at the catch point and already owns eight NFL starts. Ten breakups in two seasons show credible coverage instincts.
Weaknesses: His role and production declined in 2025, and he lacks elite recovery speed. Late healthy scratches suggest the staff needed more consistency.
