Mitchell gives this backfield a speed button. His best runs force defenses to respect the edge and the screen game, which pairs nicely with Hampton's power. He does not need 20 carries to matter. A handful of well-designed touches can change the geometry of a game if he is healthy and the blocking gives him a crease.
Strengths: Rare burst, open-field acceleration and useful complementary fit in a physical backfield. He can threaten defenses as a runner or receiver and make pursuit angles look bad.
Weaknesses: His lighter build is not ideal for a heavy interior workload, and health history makes availability a real consideration. He needs to remain reliable in pass protection and avoid being limited to obvious gadget touches.
