vegas is 3-0 and he's got 9 tds. not mobile at all lol but he's smart, quick release, takes what the defense gives him. the Mendoza situation on the bench is the real story tho.
Cousins gives this room its calmest operation. He is at his best when the picture is clear: identify the matchup, get the ball out on time and let the skill talent do the work. The preseason edge is encouraging, though this is still a fresh Raiders chapter and the pressure to keep the offense on schedule is real.
Strengths: Experienced processor with a quick, repeatable throwing rhythm. He has seen every coverage family, will work the middle of the field, and brings useful command to a room that includes a rookie franchise bet.
Weaknesses: He is not a creator-first quarterback, so muddy pockets and long down-and-distance sequences can shrink the margin. The Raiders need protection and a dependable run game so he is not asked to live in scramble mode.
