Cross is the tone-setting safety who can come downhill and finish. Back-to-back 100-tackle seasons show real productivity, and Washington needs that physicality to balance a secondary that will see plenty of space and motion offenses.

Strengths: Tackling volume, physicality, experience and line-of-scrimmage playmaking.

Weaknesses: Aggressive deployment can create coverage stress if he is isolated against speed and route combinations.
