throws it a ton and puts up numbers, 4 tds in the loss to vegas. but he lost two fumbles and takes too many sacks. fun to watch tho, has a big arm and isn't scared.
The Saints may have finally found their quarterback. Shough should get a long runway regardless of New Orleans’ record.

Shough has moved past being a fun rookie story; this is his offense now. His late-2025 command, efficiency and ability to contribute as a runner gave the Saints a real foundation. The next step is turning that promising nine-start sample into week-to-week consistency when defenses have a full offseason of answers for him.
Strengths: Accurate rhythm passer with encouraging third-down performance, good size and enough movement to add red-zone value. He made decisions quickly as a rookie and showed he could finish close games rather than merely survive them.
Weaknesses: Eleven games is still a small NFL résumé, and the defense will now treat him as the central threat. He must stay decisive when the first read is covered and reduce the sacks and avoidable negative plays that come with a young starter's growing pains.
