DJ Moore Scouting Report (4)
buffalo is 3-0 but he's more of a role player there. shoulder is a little worry. fine route runner but Allen spreads it around and he's not the main option.
Moore gives Allen a stress-inducing blend of speed, strength after the catch and feel for scramble-drill football. The growing timing between them is exactly what Buffalo hoped the trade would produce.
Strengths: Explosiveness, run-after-catch ability, speed, contested-play strength and quarterback chemistry.
Weaknesses: New system and quarterback partnership still need to prove themselves in meaningful games.
Moore is the receiver Buffalo needed: a real threat against man coverage who can take a slant, screen or deep ball and make it hurt. The trade gives Allen a more established outside playmaker, and Moore's prior work with Joe Brady is a nice bonus. A down Bears season does not erase four 1,000-yard campaigns. An eight is right; the task now is getting the timing with Allen fully automatic.
Strengths: He is durable, explosive after the catch and dangerous both vertically and underneath. Moore has a proven record against man coverage and can play inside or outside, giving Buffalo matchup flexibility.
Weaknesses: He is learning a new quarterback and offense, so chemistry and target distribution must settle quickly. His 2025 production dipped from his best seasons, making a rebound in a new setting the key question rather than raw talent.
