57 yard make but 2 missed extra points is weird. 3 for 4 on fgs. niners are 3-0 so it hasn't hurt.

Piñeiro was about as automatic as a kicker can be last season. He made 28 of 29 field goals, went 10-for-10 from 40 to 49 and 6-for-6 from 50 to 59. His only miss was from beyond 60, so I am not holding that against him much. The weird part was extra points, where he finished 34-for-38 and had two blocked. That keeps the grade from being a perfect 10, but a kicker who can hit 59-yarders and basically never miss a normal field goal is a huge upgrade. He is a nine for me entering 2026.

Strengths: His 2025 combination of accuracy and range was outstanding. Piñeiro was perfect on every field-goal attempt inside 60 yards, including 16 makes from at least 40, and gave the offense confidence that crossing midfield could be enough for points.

Weaknesses: Extra-point execution was less reliable than his field goals, with four misses or blocks on 38 attempts. Kicker performance can also swing quickly from season to season, so he has to show that the 96.6 percent field-goal rate is sustainable rather than a one-year peak.
