Loving earned an impressive rookie foothold. He is not a finished product, but his compact build and eagerness to learn make him a worthwhile rotational project.
Strengths: Interior build, college disruption, rookie hunger and initial-53 roster achievement.
Weaknesses: He is an undrafted rookie with no NFL production and must sharpen technique against bigger professionals.

Loving has a classic undrafted interior profile: compact, hard to move and productive when he got a bigger stage at Wake Forest. His 24 tackles, six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in seven games earned All-ACC mention. The jump to the NFL is still enormous, though, and he is currently depth behind veteran and rookie competition. A five fits a player with leverage and effort worth developing but no pro snaps to prove it yet.
Strengths: His low center of gravity, thick build and energetic hands suit interior run defense. Loving showed he can penetrate and finish plays in college, especially when allowed to attack one gap.
Weaknesses: He lacks prototype height and length, which can leave him covered up by NFL guards. No professional game evidence exists, and he must prove the seven-game Wake Forest production was repeatable.
