Jackson brings real power and a nasty streak to the right side. He fits the Bears because he can anchor in pass protection and move people when Chicago wants to lean into the run game.
Strengths: Power, experience, pass-protection anchor, run-blocking displacement and familiarity with Ben Johnson's system.
Weaknesses: Prior shoulder issues are part of his history, and his lateral range can be challenged by the quickest interior rushers.

Jackson gave Chicago exactly what a revamped line needed: 17 starts, good power and no drama. He has now started 78 NFL games at center and both guard spots, and he looked comfortable at right guard while the team allowed only 24 sacks. He is not as quick in space as the elite guards, and his earlier injury history matters, but he plays with a firm anchor and a physical run-game temperament. Seven feels right for a solid, versatile starter.
Strengths: He has a strong anchor, heavy hands and experience across the interior. Jackson can displace defenders in gap concepts, handle large defensive tackles in pass protection and give the line flexibility if injuries force a position change.
Weaknesses: His range on wide-zone and long pull assignments is average, and twitchy interior rushers can exploit his recovery quickness. Earlier career injuries mean the full 17-game 2025 season needs to become the norm rather than an exception.
