5 catches for 34 yds in 3 games isn't what you want from a top 10 pick. 4 for 4 vs philly but he's barely involved. bears are 2-1 anyway.

Loveland looks like the kind of modern tight end who can tilt coverages. His hands, route feel and nonstop preparation give Chicago another premium option next to Williams.

Strengths: Reliable hands, route intelligence, mismatch size, strong football IQ and outstanding work habits.

Weaknesses: His rookie start was slowed by shoulder recovery, and he can continue adding functional strength as an in-line blocker.

Loveland already looks like a star. He gave Chicago 713 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie, then exploded for 193 yards in two playoff games. The route fluidity and acceleration are receiver-like, but he is big enough to bounce through tackles—the 58-yard winner in Cincinnati captured the whole package. I have him at a nine because this is already top-level receiving value at tight end. The only thing left is proving the blocking and production hold up when defenses treat him as a primary target all year.

Strengths: Loveland separates cleanly for a 6-foot-6 target, understands zone windows and becomes dangerous after the catch. He can align in-line, flexed or in the slot, tracks throws naturally and has already delivered in high-leverage postseason situations.

Weaknesses: His in-line blocking is competitive but not yet as dominant as his receiving game, especially against powerful edge defenders. He must handle more chips, contact and coverage attention now that opponents know he is a featured option.
