Kyle Allen is exactly what a team wants behind a star: familiar, composed and capable of running the called offense without turning the game into an adventure. His preseason efficiency reinforced that fit.
Strengths: Experience, system familiarity, short-game accuracy and calm backup presence.
Weaknesses: Limited recent starting volume and lacks Josh Allen's high-end arm and rushing traits.

Kyle Allen is a sensible backup for this particular roster: he has 19 NFL starts, knows the league and has even spent time in Buffalo before. The Bills do not need him to be Josh Allen; they need him to keep an offense organized if a short-term emergency comes up. A five is the honest backup grade. He has enough experience to execute, but the ceiling and arm talent are clearly more limited than the starter's.
Strengths: He brings starting experience, familiarity with pro protections and a willingness to play within structure. Allen can get the ball out on time and should be able to stabilize a game plan for a limited stretch.
Weaknesses: His physical tools and off-platform creation are modest compared with top starters. He has moved between teams and has not established sustained success as a full-season starter, so the role should remain supportive.
