Bosa looked like himself before the knee injury last year. He had two sacks, two forced fumbles and a recovery in only three starts, then the torn ACL ended his season almost as soon as it began. When he is right, his first step puts tackles in panic mode and his hands are so good that he rarely stays blocked for long. He also deserves more credit against the run because he does not just sprint past the play hunting sacks. The official depth chart still has him starting, which is encouraging, but the repaired knee and soreness during camp make this a tough grade. His actual talent is much better than a seven. I just need to see that the burst is back and that he can handle a normal workload before rating him like the old Nick Bosa again.

Strengths: His rush plan is polished and interconnected. Bosa threatens the corner, converts speed into power when a tackle opens early and uses his hands to clear contact without losing balance. He also plays the run with disciplined leverage, and his two forced fumbles in limited 2025 action show the disruptive instincts remained intact before the injury.

Weaknesses: Everything hinges on recovery from the 2025 ACL tear. Even a small loss of first-step burst or confidence planting on the repaired knee would reduce the advantage that powers the rest of his rush sequence. His availability cannot be assumed after a three-game season, and San Francisco may need to control his early snap count.
