Slater is still the standard up front. When he is healthy, Herbert gets a blind-side protector with the feet to mirror speed and the strength to finish blocks. The 2025 injury interruption is the only real cloud. His extension and track record make clear that the Chargers view him as a cornerstone, and rightly so.
