Taylor is the kind of rookie lineman coaches enjoy having in the room: smart, tough, experienced and willing to fill more than one role. His height can complicate leverage, but he has repeatedly handled real college workloads. The early NFL job is becoming a dependable guard while preserving the emergency tackle versatility.
Strengths: Extensive college starts, leadership, toughness and rare guard/tackle flexibility. He has the short-area temperament to work in a physical interior role.
Weaknesses: At 6-foot-7 he must consistently win the leverage battle, and he is still adjusting to NFL power and speed. His college versatility does not automatically create a clear pro position.
