Smith is turning into the tone-setter of the defense: physical downhill, explosive in tight spaces and much more disruptive in coverage than a box-safety label suggests. Year three can be his leap into the league-wide conversation.

Strengths: 893 snaps, safety-leading 13 passes defensed, 100-plus tackles, blitz/run physicality, and entrenched starter role.

Weaknesses: A bigger profile brings tougher matchup assignments, and sustaining his 2025 ball-production bar is a demanding expectation.
