Halton is a fun projection because the quickness and effort jump out, but his listed size makes the role a little weird. He had 3.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss and a scoop-and-score season at Oklahoma, so he knows how to create disruption. At 239 pounds, though, he cannot play like a normal NFL defensive tackle and expect to hold up. I have him at a five. He can help in attacking fronts and passing situations, but the staff has to protect him from too many straight power snaps until he proves otherwise.
Strengths: Halton is quick off the ball, active with his hands and alert when the football comes loose. His production improved over consecutive Oklahoma seasons, and he has enough movement skill to attack gaps rather than simply occupy them.
Weaknesses: His listed weight is a major concern for an interior role, especially against double teams and downhill run schemes. He has no NFL experience and may need a specialized package to avoid being overwhelmed by power.
