Farmer looks like a fun developmental guard: big, quick for his size and eager to get physical. The Colts loved the profile enough to make him their first Day 3 pick. He does not need to be rushed with veterans ahead of him, but the traits give him a real chance to become more than depth.
Strengths: Power, length, athletic range and a two-year starting résumé in the SEC. His stated love of contact fits the Colts' physical offensive-line culture.
Weaknesses: He is a rookie who must adjust to NFL fronts and pass-rush games. Technique, hand timing and consistency against veteran interior defenders will determine how soon he earns sustained snaps.
