Jonathon Cooper

Cooper has already shown he can be a legitimate complementary rusher. When available, his effort and pressure game make Denver's edge rotation much harder to manage.

Strengths: Pass-rush production, motor, pursuit, experience and complementary edge play.

Weaknesses: Current availability is uncertain, and he is less dominant than Bonitto as a primary closer.

Cooper is the perfect complement to a star pass rusher because he is a problem in his own right. Eight sacks in 2025 made it three straight seasons at eight or more, and he starts every week without making the front feel fragile. An eight is right. He is relentless, sturdy and has turned a seventh-round opportunity into one of Denver's best development stories.

Strengths: He offers dependable all-down edge play, strong effort against the run and proven pass-rush finishing. Cooper has excellent durability, a high motor and enough production to punish offenses that overprotect against Bonitto.

Weaknesses: He is not the same pure bend-and-burst athlete as the league's very top edge rushers. His production relies on effort, technique and a strong front around him, so he must keep refining counters when tackles sit on his first move.
