Jordan Hancock

Hancock is the useful connector in Buffalo's secondary: a player who can cover inside, blitz and handle flexible assignments. The splash camp plays show why the staff trusts his growth.

Strengths: Versatility, blitz timing, ball skills, competitive toughness and nickel potential.

Weaknesses: Still developing consistency after early camp ups and downs; no locked full-time role.

Hancock is a useful modern depth DB because he does not need to live in one box. Buffalo has worked him at safety and nickel, and he got 13 games of rookie exposure even after a preseason injury. The next step is turning that versatility into a defined role and more plays on the ball. A six feels right for a player who can help a game-day roster now and still has room to grow into something bigger.

Strengths: He brings position flexibility, special-teams usefulness and enough football intelligence to learn both nickel and safety responsibilities. Hancock plays with good effort and has experience in a high-level Ohio State secondary.

Weaknesses: He has not started an NFL game or generated takeaways yet. Moving between spots can slow mastery, and he needs to improve coverage anticipation and consistency before claiming a regular defensive job.
