White has the body and power to make this starting job work, but I still need to see more consistency. After coming over from New England last year, he had 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks in nine games for the 49ers. His 2024 season was much better—56 tackles and five sacks—so there is proof he can be more than a rotational body. He can line up in a few spots and push the pocket, which should help a front dealing with injury questions. The issue is that he disappears for stretches when his first power move stalls. I have him at a five: useful traits, a real opportunity, and plenty left to prove.
Strengths: White is big enough to play the run and powerful enough to collapse a pocket when he gets his hands inside. His 285-pound frame gives the defense alignment flexibility, and the five-sack 2024 season shows he can finish when his rush plan is working.
Weaknesses: His rush can become one-dimensional, and he does not always have a clean counter after the initial power move is stopped. The drop from five sacks in 2024 to 1.5 during his nine San Francisco games reflects inconsistent impact.
