Ladd McConkey Scouting Report (3)
one of the few good things on the chargers. 12 for 15 is really efficient. foot injury is a concern. crisp route runner with great hands.
McConkey is the receiver who keeps the offense organized. He wins with pacing, separation and a feel for where Herbert needs him to be. The 2025 numbers were lower than his rookie breakout, but 66 catches and six scores still describe a very good player. A cleaner offensive environment could put him right back among the league's busiest targets.
Strengths: Advanced route craft, dependable hands, quick separation and proven volume production. He can work inside or outside and gives Herbert a trustworthy answer on key downs.
Weaknesses: He is not a towering catch-radius target, and his 2025 output dipped from the rookie peak. Physical press coverage and overall offensive stability remain the variables that can limit his ceiling.
