238 yards but 2 fumbles already and the team is 0-4. only 9 carries last week, offense has no rhythm
2 lost fumbles is bad. 15 for 56 vs buffalo. chargers are 0-3 and the offense is struggling. he gets the volume tho.
Hampton looked like a real lead back right away: sturdy through contact, decisive on downhill runs and more useful as a receiver than the old-school power label suggests. Missing time kept the rookie total down, but 4.4 per carry and 32 catches in nine games is a strong foundation. He has the profile to be the backfield centerpiece.
Strengths: Powerful finishing style, good vision between the tackles, receiving utility and proven workload capacity from college. He creates yards after contact without needing every run perfectly blocked.
Weaknesses: His rookie season was interrupted by injured reserve, making durability the first unanswered question. He still needs to show the pass-protection consistency and long-season efficiency of a true every-down NFL feature back.
