Lance is a fascinating backup because the athletic tools still jump out. He can run, has enough arm to threaten defenses and is getting a patient developmental environment. The tape and numbers still demand caution, though. His next step is making the routine throws automatic so the explosive traits can actually matter on Sundays.
Strengths: Excellent mobility, natural arm talent and useful experience in multiple offensive systems. He can give an offense a different change-of-pace element when a play breaks down.
Weaknesses: His 2025 passing sample was inefficient, and he has not built sustained NFL starter-level accuracy or rhythm. He must improve anticipation, pocket decisions and completion consistency.
