Burks is a useful veteran who can start without panicking the defense and then lead the coverage units. He made 48 tackles and 14 more on special teams last year. I have him at a six. He is not a playmaking every-down linebacker, but he knows his job and has championship-level situational experience.
Strengths: Burks is athletic in space, assignment-sound and excellent on special teams. His safety background helps him handle coverage and open-field tackles.
Weaknesses: He is not a natural downhill thumper or productive blitzer. At 31, his ceiling is a complementary defender rather than a long-term starter.
