Johnson is the experienced utility piece: a back who can change pace, help in the pass game and handle a short stretch of extra work when the rotation needs him.
Strengths: Veteran poise, receiving utility, versatility and dependable depth value.
Weaknesses: Lower-body injury monitoring and limited opportunity behind Buffalo's two more prominent backs.

Johnson is one of the better supporting backs because he does not telegraph the play call. He can carry it, catch it and has put up 547 receiving yards with five receiving touchdowns over the last two Buffalo seasons. That makes him useful on passing downs and as a change-up to Cook. A six is right: the speed and experience matter, while the limited rushing workload and occasional health issue keep him in a complementary lane.
Strengths: He is a credible receiving threat, has veteran instincts and can create a chunk play when he gets space. Johnson understands the details of a rotational role and gives the offense flexibility on obvious passing downs.
Weaknesses: He is not a volume runner and can be stopped when there is no crease. An ankle issue affected the 2025 postseason, and his best use is a managed, multi-purpose workload rather than repeated interior carries.
