Wagner did exactly what a long snapper should do: win the job and mostly stay invisible. The rookie operation helped McPherson rebound and Rehkow break the punting record. I have him at a six. There were a couple rough moments late, but beating an incumbent and getting through a full season is a solid start.
Strengths: Wagner has extensive big-program experience, repeatable velocity and the composure to handle both punt and placekick snaps. He integrated quickly with both specialists.
Weaknesses: A few late-season operation issues prevent a higher grade, and long snappers offer little margin for error. His coverage impact is also limited.
