Pleasants finally got a real run with San Francisco last season, appearing in 15 games and making a start after years on practice squads. At 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds, he is hard to move once he gets square and gives the line a true tackle-sized backup. He is still a depth player with only one career start, though, and injured reserve removes the availability that made him useful last year. A five is fair for a proven emergency option.
Strengths: His size, reach and mass give him a chance against power rushers, and he gained valuable familiarity with this offense over 15 appearances. Pleasants can cover tackle in a pinch and provides a large blocking surface in the run game.
Weaknesses: Tall pads and heavy feet can expose him to low speed rushers and inside counters. His résumé still contains only one start, and the current injury means the team cannot immediately rely on him as its swing tackle.
